Volunteers are needed to provide follow up visits to people with hearing loss that have been loaned assistive equipment by Hertfordshire's Sensory Services Deaf Team.
This equipment is provided to people with hearing loss on a long-term free loan to enable them to continue living an independent life.
As a Equipment Follow-up Volunteer you will need to help people use the equipment supplied, ensure they are getting the maximum benefit from it and troubleshoot any problems they are having.
You will also act as a source of advice and information, signposting clients to other organisations that may be able to help them.
Comprehensive free training will be given so no special technical knowledge is required. You don't need to have any previous experience of deafness or hearing aids, although any previous experience of electronics or telecommunications would be useful.
